The US Embassy: it is important that people have opportunity to express their problems
The U.S. Embassy responded to Turan’s inquiry related to the today’s action of the protest an individual near the Embassy .
We are aware of this individual’s protest near our building, although it was not connected with the Embassy or the United States. However, we do understand that many people in Azerbaijan and other countries today face economic challenges. Public displays such as this are just one way that people can peacefully convey their concerns and it is important that they have opportunities to do so.
The protest was held by unemployed invalid of the Karabakh war Guloglan Ibragimov, who lost work and have no means of livelihood. By his action he tried to draw the attention of the public and the authorities, and asked them for help. -02D-

Baku's Khatai District Court on 7 November considered a petition to place 'Abzas Media' building director Ulvi Hasanli under house arrest.
