To the results of the trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers of Turkey, Azerbaijan and Georgia
Istanbul / 10.29.18 / Turan: Turkey supports the territorial integrity of Georgia and Azerbaijan on all platforms and under any conditions. Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Cavushoglu said on Monday at a joint press conference with his Azerbaijani and Georgian counterparts, Elmar Mamedyarov and David Zalkaliani in Istanbul. According to him, the leadership of Turkey makes a strong emphasis on all international events. He said that during the trilateral and bilateral meetings, the foreign ministers discussed the cooperation of Turkey, Azerbaijan and Georgia.
The sides expressed satisfaction with the successful implementation of the decisions taken by the leaders of Turkey, Azerbaijan and Georgia at the trilateral summit, as well as the work of the ministers of energy, transport, labor, defense and other departments in a trilateral format.
The Foreign Minister recalled that Baku had previously held the commissioning ceremony of the Trans-Anatolian gas pipeline (TANAP) with the participation of representatives from Turkey, Azerbaijan and Georgia.
"With the commissioning of the Trans-Anatolian (TANAP) and Trans-Adriatic Pipelines (TAP) gas from the region will be supplied to European countries. Putting the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars (BTK) railway into operation also contributed to the development of trade between the three countries," said Cavusoglu.
The minister also noted that Turkey supports the integration of Georgia into the Euro-Atlantic structures. In his opinion, Turkey provides the strongest support for Georgia"s integration into NATO. The head of department said that Turkey also supports Azerbaijan on all platforms. "I hope Baku will get the right to hold the World Exhibition EXPO-2025," Cavushoglu said. -02D-
