Trial of 14 Armenian soldiers begins om June 16
Baku/07.06.21/Turan: On June 16, the trial of 14 Armenian soldiers charged with acts of terror and other crimes in Azerbaijan begins at the Baku Court for Serious Crimes.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. under the chairmanship of Judge Afgan Hajiyev.
According to the Military Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan, Serobyan Gegham, Avakyan Hrach, Bagasyan Armeni, Gasparyan Gor, Sefilyan Kamo, Akobyan Volodya, Asetryan Gevorg, Kngoyan Sisak, Petrosyan Albert, Sezhrakyan Romik, Minosyan Aram, Minosyan Mkrtich, Matesyan Edgar, Karapetyan Yuri will appear before the court.
According to the same source, these individuals illegally infiltrated the territory of Azerbaijan after signing of the trilateral truce statement on November 10, 2020. They took up positions in a wooded area near the village of Hadrut and committed terror acts and attacks on Azerbaijani servicemen and civilians.
Note that these persons were detained during an anti-terrorist operation of the State Security Service and the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan on December 13, 2020.
It should be added that more than 60 Armenian soldiers were captured at that time. Some of them were released and extradited to Armenia. - 03D-
