Turkey and Israel Sign Agreement on Normalization of Relations
Turkey signed an agreement on normalization of its relations with Israel, Reuters reported, referring to the statement by the representative of the Turkish Foreign Ministry.
The agreement is intended to complete the six-year conflict between the two countries caused by the incident with the Turkish ferry Mavi Marmara in 2010.
Israel will pay compensation of $ 20 million for the death of ten Turkish citizens in the Mediterranean and bring a formal apology to Ankara.
Making concessions to the Turkish authorities, in return, Israel expects to unlock the trade-economic and military cooperation with Turkey, which will provide access to the Israeli gas to Turkey and Europe, as well as strengthen the international ties of the Jewish state. -02D-
