Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov received the Turkish Chief of General Staff Necdet Ozel, who arrived in Baku on an official visit.
As the press service of the Defense Ministry said, the talks touched on the bilateral military cooperation in the framework of NATO. The sides noted the strengthening of their strategic military cooperation and its continuing development .
The sides also touched issues of regional security and the current state of the Karabakh conflict, which is the main threat to the security of the entire region.
Ozel noted the special role of Azerbaijan as a strategic partner and raised the issues of further expansion of bilateral military ties and other issues of mutual interest. -03D-
