The Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov has today received Luis Cancela Jose, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uruguay.
According to the press service of the Foreign Ministry, the Uruguayan diplomat noted that "the fundamental principle of the foreign policy of his country is to respect the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan." During the meeting they discussed issues of political consultations between the two countries, stressed the importance of cooperation within international organizations. Earlier, Uruguay supported the independence of Nagorno-Karabakh, what caused a sharp demarche of Baku. -06D-
