U.S. Bans on Entry from Europe Due to Corona Virus
Washington D.C. / 12.03.20 / Turan: US President Donald Trump announced that, due to the spread of the Corona Virus, he has banned entering from Europe since March 13. This measure will be valid for 30 days, but will not affect the UK.
In his address to the nation from the White House, the American President said that exceptions would also be made for US citizens who would pass the necessary tests for Corona Virus.
The ban was introduced due to the fact that the EU “could not take the same precautions” that the United States introduced to curb the spread of the infection, Trump said.
The US President also announced that authorities will provide financial assistance to companies that have suffered from Corona Virus. According to him, enterprises will be provided loans at low interest rates, which will allow them "to overcome the economic difficulties caused by the virus."
In addition, in the near future he promised to take measures of an “unprecedented nature” to provide financial exemptions for citizens who are infected, are in quarantine, or are caring for other patients.
From March 12 in the US capital of Washington D.C. in connection with the spread of Corona Virus an emergency regime has been introduced that will last 15 days. It gives the Mayor the right to impose quarantine and punish speculators who try to raise prices. According to CNN estimates, 24 states announced a total transition to emergency mode. In the USA, the number of people infected with COVID-19 has exceeded 1 thousand, while 36 people died. -02D-
