Visit of Russian Border Guard Ship to Baku
Baku / 19.09.18 / Turan: Maritime border forces of Azerbaijan and Russia held joint exercises on September 18 in the Caspian Sea, where joint maneuvers were conducted to expose illegal activities, to prosecute and detain the alleged offender.
The State Border Service of Azerbaijan informs that the border guard ship Brilliant headed by the head of the Border Department of the Federal Security Service of Russia for Dagestan Alexei Buerov made a friendly visit to the Baku port.
Within the framework of the visit, the sides discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral relations, the issues of ensuring border security in the Caspian and protecting its biological resources, expanding cooperation to combat illegal activities and continuing the exchange of experience.
With the participation of the Russian ship, as well as ships and boats of the State Border Service of Azerbaijan, joint exercises were held to protect the biological resources of the Caspian Sea, combat illegal migration and the smuggling of weapons and explosives.
During the visit, a friendly meeting was held between the representatives of the coastal guard of Azerbaijan and Russia at the Serhedchi Sports and Olympic Center, and a mutual review of border patrol ships was carried out. -16D--
