Young activists of the Democratic Party called to the police
Members of the youth organization of the Democratic Party, Osman Akhmedov, Azer Sadikhov and Turan Aliyev were called to Baku Main Police Office (MPO) today.
Turan was told in the Democratic Party the reason for the call was the complaint by the activists of the police to the Ombudsman office. In particular, the activists complained that after the action on 10 December last year, they were detained and taken to the Nasimi police and kept without food and water in the rain for 7-8 hours. Then the young people were abused and threatened.
However, the Ombudsman Elmira Suleymanova found nothing better than to forward this complaint to the MPO of Baku.
Today, the young activists again came under pressure - they were threatened criminal charges for participating in protests, the Democratic Party said in a news release. -16D-
