The Attorney General about Elshad Abdullayev
The Attorney General Zakir Garalov commented on the course of the criminal case selling seats in parliament by the MP Gular Akhmedova. Attorney General finds politicization of the case unacceptable. "No one should politicize the video associated with the MP Gular Akhmedova. It is under the personal supervision of President Ilham Aliyev," said Garalov.
"The prosecutors have visited the premises of the International University and conducted an inspection of the room where the recording was made. We will be able to speak about the equipment and for what purpose the video was made," said the Attorney General.
Garalov stressed that Akhmedova voluntarily gave the deputy mandate to facilitate the investigation. He noted the importance of testimonies by Elshad Abdullayev. "We need a confrontation of Elshad Adullayev with Gular Akhmedova.
There are many questions in the case, one of them being why Abdullayev did not publish the video previously, only making it public seven years after leaving the country. “If he really fights corruption, then why did he not appeal to the law enforcement agencies when he was balloting?” said Garalov.
Then Garalov accused Abdullayev of corruption in his university. In addition, in 2010, 10 facts of organ transplants at the clinic of the International University were revealed.
"This is a criminal case coming to an end in the court of Ukraine. Head of the clinic Dilara Ismayilova said everything was done at the instruction of Elshad Abdullayev, and passed $100,000 from the operation to him," said Garalov.
"We think that by spreading this video Abdullayev wants to promote himself as a fighter against corruption and is seeking asylum abroad. He must know that all are equal before the law, and everyone is responsible for the crime," said Garalov.
Note that a lawsuit was filed on the criminal case on the video, which discusses the bribe for the parliamentary mandate under the Article 178.3.2 (seizure of property on a large-scale breach of trust.) -03D-
