Baku/20.10.22/Turan: Over 9 months of this year, 4 tons 827 kg of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances worth 168 million 635.000 manats (about 99 million dollars) were seized from illicit trafficking in Azerbaijan.
This is stated in the report of the state commission for combating drug addiction and illicit drug trafficking for the period from January to September 2022.
In the specified period, 6,249 people were brought to justice for involvement in drug trafficking, of which 170 were women. 74 of those involved are citizens of foreign countries: 36 – Iran, 13 - Russia, 10 – Turkey, 8 – Georgia, etc.
Total of 1039 kg of drugs and 4178 tablets of psychotropic substances were seized from foreigners.-05D06-
