14,758 schoolchildren in Azerbaijan infected with coronavirus
Baku/22.01.21/Turan: So far, 14758 schoolchildren and 7090 teachers have been infected with COVID-19 in Azerbaijan, reported the adviser to the Minister of Education Rustam Agayev during a briefing on the activities of educational institutions during the quarantine period.
According to him, since September 2020, 2,246 primary school students have been infected with coronavirus. Of these, 4411 are students in 5-9 grades, and 7525 in 10-11 grades.
The first coronavirus infection in Azerbaijan was detected on February 28, 2020. Since then, a special quarantine regime has been in effect in the country, which will last until April 1 of this year.
During the period of a special quarantine regime, all educational institutions operating in Azerbaijan have been provided with a remote (remote) organization of the educational process since November 2 last year.
At the beginning of this school year (15 September last year), primary school students went to school several days a week.
On October 1, students of the 4th- 9th grades, and from October 15, students of the 10-11 grades went to school. Later, when the number of coronavirus infections increased again, all educational institutions went to distance learning. -03B-
