250 Employees Fired from MNS, Madat Guliyev
For the shortcomings and errors in the work of the Ministry of National Security about 250 employees have been laid off, the Acting Minister of National Security Madat Guliyev told the press.
In place of the dismissed people there have not been any appointments, he said, adding that the Ministry of National Security still has to reduce staff. "We believe that the personnel of the Ministry of National Security should be not large in number, but mobile and efficient," Guliyev said.
However, competent people earlier dismissed from the MNS for various reasons are returning to the ministry, he said.
At the same time Guliyev refrained to comment on the arrests of former employees of the National Security Ministry, referring to the continuation of the investigation. "As a result, if they are found guilty, they will be punished in compliance with the law. Those who have broken the law will be brought to justice," Guliyev said. -03D-
