306 Kg of Heroin Revealed at Iranian Border
Baku / 18.03.19 / Turan: More than 306 kg of heroin was found in a car traveling to Georgia via transit through Azerbaijan. This is stated in the message of the Customs Committee of the country on March 18.
According to the documents, the truck was transporting stone blocks sent by the Iranian company Nader Morvarid Astara to the company Mariana Younes Saei Dizajyekan in Georgia.
At the stationary post Bilasuvar, when checking 45 blocks with X-rays, white plastic bags with a total weight of more than 45 kg were detected. It was heroin. The truck was driven by the Iranian citizen Azizi Majid Hassan.
As it is told in the message, the truck was returned to the line of entry for additional check. However, the driver continued driving and breaking the barrier left for the Iranian side.
After that, stone blocks were checked in another truck driven by the Iranian citizen Imani Ruhalla Alekper. In this car, in 161 stone blocks, 264 kg of heroin was detected.
The total weight of the drugs in two trucks was 306 kg 710 grams. Its cost in the "black market" is 21.5 million manat. The fact is under investigation, the report said. -02D-
