528 new cases of COVID-19 infection detected in Azerbaijan
Baku / 17.10.20 / Turan: 528 new cases of COVID-19 infection were identified in Azerbaijan, while 103 people recovered, two died, the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers said on Saturday.
In total, 44,317 people were infected with coronavirus infection in the country, including 39,903 recovered, 623 died, 3,791 are active patients continue treatment.
A total of 1,218,935 tests for coronavirus were carried out, including 9,133 in the last day. — 06D-

On December 25, an Embraer 190 passenger plane operated by Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC (AZAL), on a Baku–Grozny flight, crashed near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan. Azerbaijan’s Consul General in Aktau, Ayxan Suleymanlı, stated that the plane had 67 people onboard, including crew members, 38 of whom died. According to him, 26 of the deceased were Azerbaijani citizens.
