Baku/16.12.22/Turan: Over the past 24 hours, 81 new cases of coronavirus infection have been detected in Azerbaijan, 54 people have recovered, no deaths from COVID-19 have been recorded, the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers said on December 16.
There are currently 493 active COVID-19 patients in the country.
Over the past day, 1475 tests for coronavirus have been carried out. ---06B---

As part of the struggle against illegal migration in Baku city, operative actions were carried out at different addresses. The Interior Ministry reports that employees of the Department for Combating Illegal Migration identified and detained 34 foreigners without documents giving the right to reside and stay on the territory of Azerbaijan.
