167,000 foreigners live in Azerbaijan - Migration Service
Baku/16.12.22/Turan: Today, 167,000 foreigners live in Azerbaijan, the head of the country's Migration Service, Vusal Huseynov, said in an interview with reporters. Most of the foreigners are citizens of Russia, Georgia, Iran, Turkey, and Ukraine. After the start of the war in Ukraine, a little more than 7,000 citizens of this country arrived in Azerbaijan from this country.
This year, cases of illegal migration in Azerbaijan have doubled. This year, foreigners were allocated 6,740 quotas for work in the country. At the same time, the quota will not apply to entrepreneurs working in the liberated territories, he said.
Commenting on the issue of readmission of Azerbaijani citizens from Europe, Huseynov said that 350 people have returned this year. About 2,150 more people are planned to be readmitted. ---02D---
