This year, sappers of the Ministry of Defense cleared 15,620 hectares of mines
Baku/16.12.22/Turan: The engineering and sapper units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces cleared 15,620 hectares of mines and unexploded ordnance this year, the country's Defense Ministry said on Friday.
In total, more than 29,113 hectares have been cleared of mines in the liberated territories. 10185 anti-personnel, 2580 anti-tank and 10445 unexploded ordnances were found and destroyed.
The main efforts are aimed at demining settlements, crop areas, roads and infrastructure facilities, the report said. ---02D---
