Action in support of Tofig Yagublu in the center of Berlin
Baku / 08.09.20 / Turan: On September 7, a journalist and activist in political emigration to Germany, journalist and activist, former "prisoner of conscience" Afgan Mukhtarli, began a hunger strike in front of the Bundestag in Berlin as a sign of solidarity with opposition politician Tofig Yagublu.
Mukhtarli told Turan that the action was coordinated with the local police. Besides him, three more activists are participating in the hunger strike.
“We demand the release of Tofig Yagublu and other political prisoners. The governments of Germany and other states should impose sanctions against the Aliyev family and other high-ranking Azerbaijani officials, arrest their bank accounts and property in Europe, and in particular, in Germany,” Mukhtarli said. —16D-
