Action of Relatives of Defendants in "Terter Case"
Baku / 14.09.20/ Turan: Family members of those convicted in the "Terter case" and who died during the investigation, tried to hold a protest today in front of the presidential administration.
They demand the release on exculpatory grounds of the convicts and the posthumous rehabilitation of those killed during the investigation, granting them the status of "Martyr", as well as punishment of those responsible.
The protesters also said that no one responds to their complaints to the state bodies.
“These guys fought in the April 2016 battles. The President himself awarded them. Now they are all sick. Why destroy those who fought with the enemy?
Let the officials receive us. Nobody has been listening to us for three years now. Ilham Aliyev must answer us. He is not just sitting there, he was appointed president, he is an authorized person, let him come out and answer us,” said one of the protesters.
“My son was arrested on April 30, 2017, during the torture they broke 4 fingers, knocked out his teeth, accused and convicted without witnesses, without evidence,” said another protester.
The police pushed the protesters away from the administration building.
