Activist of Musavat party arrested for 30 days
Baku / 22.05.18 / Turan: The deputy head of the Khatai branch of the Musavat party ,Alvin Abdullayev, was arrested on May 22. The party's press service reports that the police officers came to Abdullayev's house and, not finding him, took his mother. After Alvin himself came to the police, his mother was released, but he was detained. Right after that, the Khatai district court, chaired by Bakhtiyar Mamedov, arrested Alvin for 30 days "for disobeying the police." The "Musavat" party reported that the real reason for the arrest is the publication of Abdullayev in social networks. He used to be persecuted for political activities, in particular, for criticizing the authorities in social networks, the "Musavat" reported. The Ministry of Internal Affairs does not comment on the arrest of the activist.-03B-
