Activists were summoned to the Anti-Trafficking Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs
Baku / 16.04.18 / Turan: Human rights activist Ogtay Gullyev was summoned in the evening on Monday to the main department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to combat trafficking in human beings, he wrote in facebook that he was summoned for a criminal case.
Emil Salimov, the head of the youth committee of the Popular Front Party, announced today the summon to the same department. He said that he would go to the office with a lawyer and did not rule out falsification of a case against him in connection with political activity.
It should be noted that activists are summoned to the police after activist Fatima Movlanly made a statement on Saturday that she was abducted on March 31 and kept for five days in the Department for Combating Organized Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. She said that she tried to take testimony against the youth activists of the Popular Front Party, and among them she named Salimov.
Gyulaliyev had previously met with Movlanli and was interested in the circumstances of her disappearance. As of 18.20 on Monday, Gulaliyev and Salimov have not returned from interrogations yet.-06D-
