Ahsan Nuruzade placed in a punishment cell

Baku/09.23.19/Turan: Ahsan Nuruzade, an activist of the Muslim Unity Movement, who is serving a prison sentence in jail No. 6, was summoned to the head of the jail. After a "lengthy conversation," he was sent to solitary confinement, human rights activist Ogtay Gyulalyev wrote on his facebook page.

Recently, relatives of Nuruzade have reported increased pressure on him, and demanded not to communicate with the prisoners recently placed in the jail in the Ganja case and do not render them any help.

It is not known how many days lasted Nuruzade"s punishment. He was the coordinator of the protection of the rights of believers arrested at the Nardaran events in 2015.

In 2017, he was arrested twice in an administrative order, and in October 2017, he was charged with drug trafficking and sentenced to 7 years in prison. Human rights organizations recognized him as a political prisoner. -06D-
