Ikram Rahimov continues his hunger strike, demanding justification
Baku/09.20.19/Turan: The editor and founder of the realliq.info website, Ikram Rahimov, continues his hunger strike for five days, his relatives said.
According to them, Rahimov called on Monday, reporting on the continuation of the hunger strike and poor health. He still demands an end to his criminal prosecution.
However, the department of public relations of the Prison Service denied the information about the hunger strike of Rahimov.
** The editor of the site realliq.info Ikram Rahimov was detained on October 26, 2018. On June 12, the court sentenced him to 5.5 years in prison. In protest, Rahimov began a hunger strike in August, which he stopped on the 30th day - September 5th.
On September 18, the Court of Appeal confirmed Ragimov"s guilt of extortion by means of threats, applying Article 62 of the Criminal Code (imposing a lesser punishment prescribed by law), reduced the prison term from 5.5 years to 3 years. -03D-
