Another Fatal Incident on Iranian Border
Baku / 25.11.19 / Turan: On November 23, a border violator was killed on the Iranian-Azerbaijani border. According to the Azerbaijani Border Service, this happened near the village of Boyuk Bahmanli of the Fizuli region.
The border guards noticed two violators who fired at the border guards. In return fire, one intruder was killed, and the second returned to the Iranian side.
During a joint survey of the scene with the Iranian border guards, it was found that the deceased is a citizen of Iran.
At the scene of the incident, a parcel with 2.5 kg of marijuana and metaphetamine tablets was discovered.
The Azerbaijani-Iranian border remains the most frequently violated section of the state border. Most often it is violated by drug dealers who engage in a shootout with border guards.
This year, several armed incidents were recorded, as a result of which several drug dealers were killed and wounded. There are victims from the Azerbaijani border guards. -03B-
