Baku/07.12.22/Turan: A member of the "Muslim Unity" movement Mirtofig Huseynov was detained on the evening of December 6 at a bus stop near the January 20 metro station. This was reported to Turan by the father of the activist Mirjalal Huseynov.
To clarify the fate of his son, the man phoned the call center 102 at the Interior Ministry, after which he was invited on December 7 to the 3rd branch of the Khazar police department and offered to write a statement.
“I was told that they would clarify the fate of my son during the day, but so far no information has been provided to me,” Mirjalal Huseynov told Turan on Wednesday.
Law enforcement agencies also do not comment on the detention of Mirtofig Huseynov.
It should be noted that Huseynov became the fourth MU activist detained over the past four weeks. On November 23, Shahin Gadirli was detained; on December 1, Nijat Aliyev; on December 2, Samir Babayev.
All three are charged with drug trafficking. The court chose against them a measure of restraint in the form of arrest. -06B-
