Approved the national strategy of education development in Azerbaijan
Yesterday the head of Azerbaijan adopted the national strategy of education development in Azerbaijan. Its goal is to create an advanced education system to train competent personnel on the basis of new technologies.
The key point is the formation of " a transparent and effective system of education."
The strategy involves the transition to 12-year general education, with 10 years of compulsory secondary education and two years of full secondary education.
It provides for the introduction of compulsory pre-school education (1 annual ) and involvement in early childhood education of 90 % of children.
It is expected to improve reception in higher and secondary specialized educational institutions , including the establishment of the state order in the field.
Educational institutions are expected to provide administrative, academic, financial and organizational autonomy.
With the participation of interested parties public nature of education will be provided (parent-teacher association, the executive board, the Board of Trustees, etc.).
It is also the creation of ranking educational institutions (ratings).
Step by step will be increased funding for education up to 5-6 % of GDP.
One of the key principles of the strategy is to ensure a system of lifelong access to education.
The Cabinet of Ministers is in charge of the 5-month period to prepare a draft action plan for the implementation of education policies .
In addition , the government is ordered each year by March 1 to submit a report to the President on the implementation of the strategy. -06D-
