Arrest of one more religious activist
Baku/10.04.23/Turan: Tarlan Seyidov, a member of the Muslim Unity Movement, was detained on the street in Baku on the afternoon of April 10.
Seyidov was dropped off from his personal car when he was driving his family. Under the cries and crying of Seyidov's young children, persons in civilian clothes took him away without any explanation.
The wife of a believer managed to videotape her husband's detention.
Dozens of religious activists and believers have been arrested in Azerbaijan in recent days.
In the pro-government media, these detentions are presented as exposing the "Iranian spy network".
However, the Muslim Unity Movement states that many detainees are charged with drug trafficking. ---30B---
