Attempt to smuggle 10 kg of narcotics from Iran suppressed
Baku/14.11.22/Turan: On November 11, Azerbaijani border guards have stopped an attempt to smuggle drugs from Iran.
State Border Service reports that at 21:00, Orhan Sadigov, born in 1986, resident of Gazakh region, was detained near Garagyuvendikli village of Imishli region.
While conducting a search, 9.9 kg of drugs (9.3 kg of marijuana, 100 grams of opium and 400 pills of methadone-40, weighing a total of 500 grams) were found in his possession.
Investigations are still ongoing.

Operational search activities are ongoing regarding these incidents, the State Border Service of Azerbaijan reported on November 4.
