Azerbaijan Amends Statistical Reporting Framework
The State Statistics Committee has amended several decisions to eliminate legal discrepancies after the introduction of the law “on amendments to the Civil Procedure Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, The Family Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “on the Prevention of domestic violence” adopted on March 29, 2024.
According to the Committee's decision, changes were made to improve the official statistical reporting forms and processes for various state bodies. These amendments are aimed at aligning statistical practices with the new legislation affecting civil, family, and domestic violence laws.
One of the key changes includes an update to the guidance on completing the “1-P” form related to prosecutorial work, ensuring that parental rights cases are now reported in line with the Family Code of Azerbaijan.
The decision also introduced a new subcolumn in the civil case reporting forms for first-instance courts, specifically focusing on the participation of prosecutors. This aligns with ongoing efforts to enhance the accuracy of judicial statistics.
The amendments were ordered to be implemented promptly and submitted to the State Register of Legal Acts within three days.
