Azerbaijani authorities called to give up pressure on political emigrants
Baku/22.04.18/Turan: The Center for the Protection of Political Prisoners of Azerbaijan called on the authorities to abandon the practice of pressure on relatives of political emigrants who criticize the leadership of the country. It was published in the section of the recommendations of the study "European Business", which was presented by the Center on Saturday.
The 23-page report contains facts, the names of political emigrants and their persecuted relatives, who were subjected to various forms of pressure (arrests, police drives, the threat of losing their jobs) in order to force political emigrants to give up fighting against the Azerbaijani authorities.
The Center also called on the authorities and opponents to refuse political controversy from actions aimed at humiliating the honor and dignity of a person.
Coordinator of the Center, Ogtay Gyulalylev, noted that international organizations cannot be passive in this issue and should raise demands and recommendations to the authorities of Azerbaijan. -0-
