Baku/12.05.22/Turan: The State Security Service of Azerbaijan detained a citizen of the country Shihiev Bakhtiyar, born in 1989, on suspicion of participating in various periods in illegal armed groups, training in militant camps in the village of Rifil-Mukhandis in Syria. In particular, there are reasonable suspicions of Shikhiev's participation in the illegal armed formation "Jundul Sham".
“Bakhtiyar Shihiyev was detained as a suspect in a criminal case initiated by the State Security Service under Article 283-1.3 of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan (participation in armed conflicts outside of Azerbaijan, participation in illegal formations). According to the court decision, Shihiev was arrested. The criminal investigation is ongoing. -02D-
