Azeri Man Kills another Azeri at Vegetable Base in St. Petersburg
Today in St. Petersburg at the Sofia vegetable base an Azerbaijani citizen was killed because of debt.
As the Fontanka reported, about 14:00 at 60 Sofia Street, there was a conflict between two citizens of Azerbaijan, Ismailov and Huseynov. The dispute was presumably because of Ismailov’s debt to Huseynov. As a result, Huseynov shot the debtor in the face from a traumatic gun, in the original version. Before the police arrived the man was detained by traders from the market.
During the detention the man was beaten. The eyewitnesses reported a mass brawl involving 100-200 people.
The MIA Research Department for St. Petersburg and the Region confirmed to the Fontanka that there was no fight among the sellers. A large number of police squads and riot police are at the scene to maintain public order.
The alleged killer was taken to hospital with injuries.
The Sofia vegetable base is controlled by the Azerbaijani Diaspora. -0-
