Over One Ton of Heroin Seized for Five Months
During the period from January to May this year, law enforcement agencies revealed 1,439 facts of crime in the fight against drug trafficking.

According to the report, 375 of the identified facts were related to the use of drugs, and 1,006 facts were related to the trafficking of drugs without intent to sell. Other facts are mainly associated with the cultivation of plants containing narcotic. According to the revealed facts of trafficking, there were seized 1 ton 520 kg of various drugs, mainly heroin - 1 ton 037 kilograms. Law enforcement agencies identified 169 kg of opium, 294 kilograms of marijuana, and 16 kilograms of hashish.
The report also pointed out that as a result of the operation Khash-Khash 2016 more than 56 kg of plants containing a narcotic were destroyed.
In 1,439 facts of criminal liability 850 people were involved, including 10 women and one minor.
Of the people arrested for drug offenses, 754 people were unemployed and three were servants. -0-
