Bangladesh People from Azerbaijan Arrested in Armenia
Yerevan / 15.05.18 / Turan: Six citizens of Bangladesh who crossed the Armenian-Azerbaijani border on the night of May 8 crossed the border from Nakhchivan, the National Security Service of Armenia said. In their testimony, they stated they intended to cross the border of Iran in Turkey in search of work. However, they got lost and accidentally found themselves in Armenia.
The six have been charged under Part 2 of Article 329 ("Illegal crossing of the state border") and they have been arrested. Investigative actions are being carried out to establish their personalities, the reliability of their testimony, as well as their involvement in radical or terrorist groups.
It should be noted that the Azerbaijani side did not comment on the report on the Bangladeshis who transferred to Armenia from the territory of Azerbaijan. -02D-

It has been reported that the number of infant deaths in Azerbaijan is on the rise. While the official statistics for the previous year have yet to be disclosed, the number of infants who died before reaching one year of age reached 2,039 in 2023. This figure is 2.1 times higher compared to 2022. Among every 1,000 live births, 18.1 infants (or 1.8%) died before their first birthday.
