Bedridden AbulfazBunyadov sentenced to 15 years in prison
Baku/11.07.18/Turan: Baku Serious Crimes Court announced the verdict against two other defendants accused on the Nardaran events. A resident of Nardaran,AbulfazBunyadov, was sentenced to 15 years in prison. This paralyzed defendant, was taken from the courtroom and taken away on a stretcher. Another defendant in the case, ElkhanIskenderov, was sentenced to 14 years in prison. They are found guilty of terrorism, an attempted violent change of power, illegal possession of weapons. Bunyadov must serve his first three years in a closed Gobustan prison. It should be noted that he was detained during a special operation in Nardaran in November 2015 against the leader of the movement "Muslim Unity" TalehBagirzade and his associates. However, the punishment in respect of Bunyadov was changed, and he is under police supervision. Iskenderov was put on the wanted list and arrested a year later. The defense intends to appeal the verdict. -06D--

Last night, three earthquakes occurred along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border with magnitudes of 4.8, 3.0, and 3.8, according to the Republican Center for Seismological Service of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported no information about any destruction or casualties as a result of the earthquakes.
