Border Guards Stop Smuggling Large Quantities of Drugs
Baku / 24.12.18 / Turan: Employees of the State Border Service (SBS) prevented the smuggling of large quantities of drugs from Iran.
According to the SBS report, the incident took place on December 20.
In particular, the smugglers tried to carry 6.58 kg of marijuana and 70 grams of nheroin to the territory of Azerbaijan through the border section passing through the village of Deman, Yardimli district.
However, after seeing the border guards, they threw the drugs and fled back to Iran. In addition, the security forces detained several people who violated the border regime.
