Chief epidemiologist: swine flu not fixed in Azerbaijan
Baku / 14.01.19 / Turan: Swine flu viruses have not been detected in Azerbaijan, the country's chief epidemiologist Ibadulla Agayev said.
According to him, vaccination against influenza can be started in the event of an epidemic, and there is a special order of the Minister of Health to this effect.
According to the country's Ministry of Health, the tense epidemiological situation in neighboring countries poses a real threat to Azerbaijan and requires preventive, curative and anti-epidemic measures.
"In the event of the occurrence of severe respiratory patients, information immediately goes to the center of epidemiology and hygiene. Samples of tests in such patients are sent to the Anti-Plague Station of the country.
The Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology recommends citizens to be careful and cautious in crowded places, observe hygiene standards and carry out disinfection measures, "the country's Ministry of Health said in a statement.
Special clinics for the treatment of potential patients were prepared in several hospitals in the country, and the necessary preparations and equipment were procured.
Until January 7, tests of 867 severely respiratory patients were checked at the Anti-Plague Station. Swine flu virus was not detected in them, further noted in the message.
According to experts, the cause of deaths from swine flu is the presence of staph bacteria that cause pneumonia.
Doctors recommend washing hands frequently, using trisyllable gauze bandages, eating foods rich in vitamin C. -03B-
