Customs in Nakhchivan seized 47 kg of opium
Baku/07.01.22/Turan: A large consignment of drugs was detected in the DAF truck, which was traveling to Turkey with a load of furniture in transit through Nakhchivan. This is stated in the message of the State Customs Committee for January 7.
Thus, when passing through the Shahtakhty customs point, 26 packages of opium with a total weight of more than 47 kg were found in the soft upholstery of the sofa and armchairs. A lawsuit was filed under Article 206.2 of the Criminal Code (drug smuggling).
The message does not say who the truck belonged to, the driver's citizenship, and what country the cargo was coming from. However, it is no secret that the Shakhtakhty customs point is located on the border with Iran and the truck could only enter from there. -02D-
