Baku / 03.12.18 / Baku: Baku resident Saddam Nazarly was detained on suspicion of committing cybercrime, law enforcement sources said.
The investigation was initiated after the information about the theft of money from bank cards of more than 100 clients of local banks and the transfer of 85,000 manat to personal accounts and turning it to cash was received by the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
During the inspection of Nazarly's housing, laptops and tablets containing special hacker programs were confiscated as evidence.
In the memory of these devices were found data on bank accounts and payment cards of various persons. A criminal case was filed under Articles 177 (theft) and 272 (illegal seizure of computer information) of the Criminal Code.
Arrested as a suspect, Nazarly was previously convicted under Article 332 (non-statutory relations between servicemen) of the Criminal Code. -06B--
