On Sunday in the Yasamal district there was again a conflict between the residents of the house N 14 on Mirali Seyidov Street (located near the former cinema Sevil) and builders to cut down trees in their yard for the construction of an office.
Recall that on March 25 the residents managed to obstruct the construction work.
However, on March 30 builders came again with a tractor and began to fell trees, despite protests from the residents.
Three people, including the political scientist Elkhan Shahinoglu, Iskender Talybly and Elshad Abdullayev were detained by police.
According to the spouse of Shahinoglu, Afet Guliyeva, her husband and other detainees were taken to the 22nd police station.
However, in this department Turan was told that there are no detainees there and it was a territory of the Nasimi district.
In the 28th police station in Yasamal they also said that the detainees were not there.
About 16.00 all the three detainees were released. It turned out that they were eventually taken to the 28th police station, where both sides were called to peace.
In turn, the residents said they will continue to fight against the felling of the trees. -0 -
