Drug Courier Killed on Iran-Azerbaijan Border
Baku / 04.11.19 / Turan: On November 3, at 5 o’clock in the morning near the town of Bilasuvar of the same region, Azerbaijani border guards noticed an offender on the Azerbaijani-Iranian border. Ignoring the warning shot, the intruder tried to return to the Iranian side. By the fire of the border guards, the offender was killed,” the State Border Service said.
The Beretta pistol was found on the killed man, and 12.34 kg of various drugs were in his bag thrown by him.
The border guards also detained two suspects – a resident of the Bilasuvar region Elgyun Hasanov and a resident of Mingechevir Orkhan Nasirzadeh, who were located near the scene in a Niva car.
The investigation established that the murdered offender was a resident of the Jalilabad region of Azerbaijan, Tural Amirov, born in 1994.
On October 31, he crossed the border at the Bilasuvar border checkpoint and moved to Iran. The investigation is ongoing. -02D-
