Earthquake in Iran Felt in Southern Regions of Azerbaijan
Baku / 08.11.19 / Turan: The devastating earthquake that occurred in Iran last night at 02:47 local time was felt in the southern regions of Azerbaijan.
In Astara, Lankaran, Lerik, Yardimli, Masalli, Ordubad, Julfa and Beylagan tremors were recorded with a force of 4-3 points, the Republican Center for Seismology at the Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan reports.
An earthquake of magnitude 5.9 occurred in the Iranian province of East Azerbaijan. According to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center, the quake epicenter was located 118 kilometers east of Tabriz, and the focus lay at a depth of only 10 kilometers.
According to Iranian media, the earthquake killed at least 5 people, and about 120 were injured. —06D—

Last night, three earthquakes occurred along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border with magnitudes of 4.8, 3.0, and 3.8, according to the Republican Center for Seismological Service of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan.
