Eliminating the consequences of environmental disaster on the lake Boyuk Shor continues
Baku/11.07.20/Turan: Structures of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Ecology continue to clean combustion products that have covered the thick layers of the surface of Lake Boyuk Shor, on the eastern outskirts of the capital.
The reason for the poisoning of the lake was the discharge of wastewater after putting out the fire on July 5 at the Sobsan paint plant.
Currently, several hectares of surface are covered with various wastes.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, 14 tons of waste have already been collected, which have been evacuated to a landfill for disposal.
According to the same sources, the total area of pollution was about 3 hectares, of which one third have already been cleared.
The Lake Boyuk Shor has recently been cleaned of long-term waste and turned into a recreation area. After the fire on July 5, residents of nearby villages began to complain of a stench. In the course of water analysis, it was found that the level of harmful substances in the lake is ten times higher than the norm. -02D-
