The Office for Combating Corruption under the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan investigated reports received from the Chamber of Accounts for violations of the law in the activities of the Center for Social Protection of Population of Barda.
As stated in the release sent to Turan by the press service of the Attorney General, the investigation revealed falsification of information about family composition and income of citizens in the appointment of targeted social assistance by the center’s officials.
In connection with the discovery of serious suspicion of embezzling public funds in the amount of 258,550 manat, a criminal case was started under Article 179.3.2 (embezzlement on a large scale).
