FSB detained one of the richest Armenians in the world
The Russian FSB (Federal Security Service) arrested one of the richest members of the Armenian Diaspora Levon Hayrapetyan in Moscow. The events took place in the investigation of the Investigative Committee (IC) of RF into the Kingissepp gang activity.
According to a source in the Russian special services, which talked to Rosbalt, Levon Hayrapetyan was detained by the FSB of Russia on July 15, 2014 in the Domodedovo airport, where he arrived from Monaco. The counterintelligence under heavy security brought the businessman for questioning to the RF IC. There he was officially declared detained and in the coming days the investigators intend to submit a petition to arrest him to Moscow's Basmanny Court.
Arrangements for the tycoon are held in the framework of the investigation on the activities of the Kingissepp gang, which was led by the "authority" Sergei Finagin. On the possible involvement of Hayrapetyan in the activities of the group the investigators were told by the former Senator Igor Izmestyev, now serving a life sentence.
Levon Hayrapetyan is among the ten richest members of the Armenian Diaspora in the world (ranked 10th), headed by the American entrepreneur Kirk Kerkorian, founder and president of one of the largest U.S. corporations Tracinda Corporation. Hayrapetyan is considered a lobbyist at the global level of recognition of the Armenian Genocide by the Ottoman Empire. -02D-
