Facebook activist reject the accusations
On May 22 a trial in the case of activist of Facebook, a 19-year-old Omar Mamedov, accused of drug trafficking, continued in the Baku Serious Crimes Court by Eldar Mikailov.
According to lawyer Khalid Bagirov, a witness, a police officer did not come to the court. Mammadov rejected the accusation against him, and said the political motives of his persecution. The judge adjourned the meeting in the absence of co-counsel Alaifa Hasanov. The trial will continue on May 29.
* Omar Mamedov is the leader of the youth movement "Akhyn" ("Flow"), and member of the "Civil Solidarity." After his arrest, he returned to the NIDA Movement.
