According to the press service of the Baku Metro, smoke occurred in the fourth car of the train on the route Hazi Aslanov - Darnagul in 08.09, while stopping at the station Koroghlu.
The passengers were evacuated, the power lines were disconnected from the voltage, the input to the station was temporarily closed and the trains stopped.
The smoke was eliminated and the train was sent to the depot.
In 08:30 the trains were resumed.

Morning of May 16 at about 8:10 the outside of the wagon train in the Baku subway line Hazi Aslanov - Darnagul caught fire.
There was intense smoke in 4 train cars. Reaching the metro station Koroghlu, the driver dropped the passengers, Turan’s correspondent reported from the scene. After the evacuation electric power was de-energized and the entrance to the station was closed.
At other stations also observed was a crowd of people so that for some time the traffic was suspended and the timetable disrupted. Around 08:40 am the traffic was resumed.
