First and fourth groups take entrance exams
Baku /22.07.17/ Turan: The entrance exams for universities in the 2017/18 academic year for the first and fourth specialized groups took place today on July 22. This message was distributed by the State Examination Center (GEC). Exams are held in 11 cities of the country - Baku, Mingechevir, Nakhchivan, Ganja, Sumgait, Sheki, Barda, Goychay, Shirvan, Lankaran, Khachmaz - in a total of 55 buildings.
Participation of 27,961 entrants was expected, and 23,510 of them will take exams for the 1 group, and 4,451 - for the 4th group.
25 500 of the total number of applicants will take examinations in the Azerbaijani sector (21 543 for the 1st group, 3 957 for the fourth group), 2 461 people will take examinations in the Russian sector (in the I group - 1 967, in the fourth group - 494 people).
16 437 of the total number of entrants are boys (according to (group I of 15063 people, group of 1374 people in the fourth group), and 11 524 are girls (8447 people in the first group, 3077 people in the fourth group.) Up to 60 media representatives were accredited at the State Examination Center to cover the exams.
The exam will begin in all buildings at the same time - 11:00 and will last 3 hours. This year for the first time the entrance examinations are held twice. First time the exams were held in late April and early May this year. Those who want to retake the exam will have to pay for it. The fee ranges from 10 to 100 manat. -- 0--
