
Hot and dry weather continues to cause fires in different regions of Azerbaijan.
According to the MOE, on August 19, near the village of Agdam in the district Tovuz fire engulfed 6 hectares of shrubs. Another 10 hectares of bush burned in the village Yukhary Oysuzlu in the same area.
A similar situation arose in the mountainous part of the village Garanohur of Shamakhi, where bushes burned in an area of 5 hectares.
Today bushes are burning on the mountain side of the village Sharabi in Shamakhi. MOE forces are involved in the fire fighting.
Note that this year forest fires have covered a large territory and have expanded their geography. -03D04-
